Privacy policy

Last updated 29 October 2026

The short version. Cellsmith add-ons work inside Google and never send your sheet data to us. We only learn what you choose to tell us: an email you send, a form you fill in, or a purchase you make through Gumroad. We do not sell data, show ads or use tracking cookies.

Who we are

Cellsmith makes spreadsheet templates, free calculators and add-ons for Google Sheets ("Cellsmith", "we", "us"). This policy covers the website cellsmith.org, purchases of Cellsmith products, and the Cellsmith add-ons: Cellsmith Alerts and the Arabic Toolkit. Contact: hello@cellsmith.org.

Cellsmith Alerts (Google Sheets add-on)

Cellsmith Alerts lets you set rules on a Google Sheet, such as "Due date is before today", and emails a digest of the rows that match on a schedule you choose.

Where your information is kept

Your settings are stored in your own Google account, in the private storage Google provides to Apps Script add-ons. They are not stored by Cellsmith and we cannot see them. They include:

Your sheet data is read by Google's servers only while a check runs. It is not copied into storage, except the rows that appear in a digest email you have asked for.

What Cellsmith receives

Nothing from your sheets. Cellsmith Alerts has no Cellsmith server behind it. When you activate or recheck a Pro key, Gumroad records that the key was checked, which we can see in our Gumroad account along with the purchase details you gave Gumroad at checkout.

Sharing

We do not sell, rent or share Google user data. We do not use it for advertising. We do not use it to develop, improve or train generalized or non-personalized AI or machine learning models. Digests go only to the recipients you set; what they contain is the rows and columns you chose.

Cellsmith Alerts' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
